This time of year there is a lot going on. While the ranch is a wonderful place to raise Pembroke Welsh Corgis, we also raise quality angus beef on our ranch. This is my favorite time of year, calves are hitting the ground at a rapid pace, the grass is really starting to grow and the yearlings are getting fat! There is a lot of cow work going on, yearlings are vaccinated against common beef disease and bulls are tested for fertility and venereal disease, yes cows can get VD. Branding will start soon which is a fun time when neighbors come together to help one another get the work done. Here are a few pictures from recent days.
