Placing puppies is something I take very seriously. It has always been my goal for the union of puppies and families to be joyful and successful. I am always trying to improve my breeding program through genetics, socialization and training. I spend hours researching and educating myself on ways to help the transition for puppies and families to be as smooth as possible. I spend countless hours with my puppies from birth until they leave me loving on them, cleaning up after them, teaching them and playing with them. It is a labor of love.
The process I go through to match a puppy with the right family may not be conventional but it works for me. Intuition plays a huge part. I usually have a file of applications from people waiting for a puppy before a litter of puppies arrives. Once the puppies are born and I start handling them and getting to know them I start having “feelings” or impressions of who the puppy is meant for. I have learned to trust my gut in these matters. At times I have had to do some convincing in order to make the right match but it seems to work out. If a pup has not found his forever home by 8 weeks that is okay, I know that eventually that family will find us.
I love raising puppies and the process involved in finding the right family. It brings me joy to bring joy to others.
